Hi everyone! In the last post, I encouraged everyone to to think about the positive side of life, but sometimes you just need to vent!

I hate thinking that I am the only one struggling with something. Now's your chance to help someone realize they are not alone.

What has been bothering you lately? What helped you get though?

What annoys you the most about how those without disabilities treat you?

Have you been underestimated in the past?

I HATE when people talk to me in a baby voice or talk around me and say "What's her name?" when I'm right in front of them. I can't believe every once in a while I am still offered children's menus! I get through these times by laughing about them and remembering all the people in my life who completely accept me. Can you guys relate? Let me know!

Subject: Greatest Accomplishments - by: Amanda B

Hi everyone! My name is Amanda and I'm a brand new intern at MCIL. I'm excited to be here! Nick asked me to help with the forum. A little about me: I am 24 years old and have Cerebral Palsy. My hobbies include music, movies, shopping and being on the computer.

I don't know about you, but it is a lot easier for me to pick out what is going wrong in my life than the things that are are going well.

I thought this a would be a good spot to share with others accomplishments that you are most proud of and a little bit about what it took to get there.
For example, one of my greatest accomplishments is that I learned to transfer in and out of bed and can help myself in the restroom. It took a lot of work with a physical therapist and a willingness to try new and different methods.

Looking forward to hearing what you guys have to say! :)
